I live and paint in both Brooklyn and Purling, N.Y. with my wife Elizabeth and our children Sorley and Saskia and our dog Aggie.

I started painting when I was seven, taking lessons from a local artist where I grew up. I painted still lifes and landscapes, some which I still have.

I moved to New York City in 1995 and started painting in oils for the first time. I painted on anything that was flat I could find, wood, cardboard, glass, canvas, learning and exploring the medium in hopes of finding my "own voice".
